Longing for the sea [2007]

Longing for the Sea is a music, theatrical and visual journey, which guides us from a morning drop of mist in the mountains to the sea, passing through different movements and aspects of water, related with our own inner states and perceptions.

Mirabai Ceiba is a musical project begun in 2002 by Angelika Baumbach (harp, vocals) and Markus Sieber (guitar, vocals). They released their first album "Flores by Mirabai" with Spirit Voyage Music (Virginia, U.S.) in 2002. Since then they have traveled giving concerts around Europe, the United States and Mexico.

For this project they are accompanied by Charly Garcia (flute, percussion), Gabriela Rosales (harmonium, vocals), and Brisia Bockmann (dance, vocals). The music is composed of Mirabai Ceiba's original songs and traditional chants arranged by them. The project is supported with water images from Sebastian Belaustegui.
