In the forests of the mystical mountain Iztaccihuatl, Amecameca / Mexico
Embracing the gift of Life

The Waking Woman gathering was founded by Angelika and Deva Baumbach in 2014, with the vision of creating a circle of women where the original creative spark of life is enhanced in each one, embracing all that we are, as well as the traditions and paths that sustain our lifes, sharing together in one context where we explore, nurture and learn from the experience of being a woman, honoring the moment and place in life of each one of us and opening ourselves to our potential in its fullness. We embrace the gift of life.

We traverse together through a creative process with music and dance, Yoga, meditation, walks in nature, contemplation, sharing of word and poetry, ceremonies to accompany our different transitions as women, and much more. We explore with each other, listening to the voices of other women and honoring each one as a mirror, where we reflect ourselves and grow from our experiences. We recognize our bodies as a garden and learn important tools that help us walk gracefully and powerfully in the experience of being a woman.

We offer a special program to younger women as well, honoring the precious blossoming process in which they are, generating an intimate sharing amongst them, to enable the learning about their bodies and cycles in a gentle, safe and creative space, but also integrated to the greater circle, all women sharing and learning the dance of the cycles together.

If you are traveling by plane you have to fly to Mexico City, and if you would like us to pick you up, please let us know. We can send a taxi to the airport for $50 USD per ride, to pick you up and bring you all the way to Iztac. That is the safest and easiest way to do it.
