Waking Woman is a meeting space for women of diverse ages, cultures, and nationalities.
There, we dive into an exploration of our fundamental nature: that place within us that contains all the resources to revitalize the creative flow in our lives.
Together, we practice listening to our deepest needs in the hustle of daily life, bringing new vitality and inspiration.

The activities are woven from the inner process during the retreat. A sustained, moment-by-moment experience imbued with the essential qualities each person contributes to the collective.
Rite of passage
A rite of passage addresses and accompanies a woman’s natural transitions, such as entering her fertile age through menstruation or the moment of closing this cycle. This involves several aspects: one is the biological behavior of the body (menstruation arrives one day and then gradually ceases), and the other is the hormonal movement in our bodies, which generates internal fluctuations.
How do we accompany ourselves as women through these important transitions?
A rite of passage creates a safe and loving environment where we can explore our path in relation to these inevitable changes, full of potential and possibilities, but also involving great losses that require acknowledgment.
Women in harvest season
As we reach the end of our period, we have stories to tell about the great journeys we have taken.
In the world we live in, this process is often experienced in isolation and is often misunderstood by those around us, as well as by ourselves.
The rite of passage for this stage of a woman’s journey allows us to tell our story and reflect together on who we have become and where we are at this very moment in life. With all our wounds and our pulsing dreams, there is great creative potential and life force that accompanies this great change. We support each other in unraveling this power and witnessing how we accompany each other.

Denisse Tatemura
Denisse Tatemura has been a facilitator of aquatic therapeutic experiences for more than a decade. She has studied different techniques such as Watsu, Janzu, Aguahara and Aquadynamics.
Being able to provide a space for relaxation, containment, healing and deep reconnection to different people in the water is one of her greatest passions.
She is also an instructor of Chi Kung of the 7 Lotuses, and a certified yoga teacher.
Julieta Abdala
Julieta studied singing, dancing and has collaborated in many large musical groups, learning African and Afro-descendant traditions and cultures. She shares the simplicity of art that nourishes, shapes and connects us all as humanity.
During the retreat, Julieta will share yoga, African dance and songs. To awaken the pure joy that reminds us of the feeling of walking through life with playfulness, feeling a light heart.
