Waking Woman Celebration

Lithuania

24-30 June 2025

New date soon

After spending some days in Dragonfly Land on our Baltic tour last October, I was totally mesmerized by the beauty and love this place has been made with.

We invite you and your sisters, daughters, mothers, to join us for a time with women of all ages. To share and receive. To dream and release. To grief and rejoice.

Welcome to our 6th European Waking Woman retreat!
A time to acknowledge that life is precious. And you are precious to life.

Waking Woman is a container of time and space for women of diverse ages, cultures and nationalities to come together.

There, we will dive into an exploration of our fundamental nature: that place within us which contains all our resources for revitalizing the creative flow in our lives.

In this way, we will be able to take responsibility to address our deeper needs in the tumult of daily life, bringing new inspiration.

The Weaving

  • Silent contemplative sitting, movement and chanting every morning
  • Sessions of self exploration through dream work, dance and poetry
  • Ritual sauna
  • Storytelling by the fire
  • Time alone in nature
  • Walks in the Forest
  • Vocal exploration
  • Ecstatic Dance
  • Special activities for our younger women
  • Writing
  • Rites of passage
  • Magical nights with live music and many surprises

The activities are also created from within the inner process during the retreat. A very moment by moment experience, infused with the essential each one provides to the collective.

Younger women

Waking Woman retreat welcomes women of all ages. I was inspired to open this experience to younger women, because I have two beautiful daughters, and my wish was to offer them a space where they could explore themselves through the presence of other women in different stages.

Throughout the years it has become a space that allows the possibility for deep sharing and bonding between generations. And also acknowledging that all stages of a woman are alive in each one of us throughout life.

A crucial event is the rites of passage. When we hold and accompany a young woman through this important passage in her life of becoming fertile, it gives her an opportunity to walk into this next stage willingly.

Witnessing this process is deeply touching and it also brings healing and reconciliation to all women, who perhaps did not have this rare opportunity.
To celebrate transformation and the miracle of our body which is able to birth a human life.

Women in the harvest season

By the time we reach the end of our menstrual phase, we have stories to tell about our great journeys.

In the world we live in, this tends to be a process that is experienced in a lonely way, and it is often misunderstood by the ones around us, as well as by ourselves.

The rite of passage for this stage in a woman’s journey allows space to tell our story and together reflect what we have become, and where we are standing at this very moment in life. With all our wounds and our pulsing dreams. There is a great creative potential and life force which comes along with this big change. We support each other to unravel this power and witness each other in it.

Rites of passage

A rite of passage addresses and accompanies a woman’s natural transitions, such as entering our fertile years through menstruation, or when the time comes to close this cycle. There are several aspects to this: one is the biological actions of the body – menstruation comes one day, and then gradually ceases -, then there’s the hormonal movement in our bodies that create inner ebbs and flows.

How do we stand with and accompany ourselves through these major transitions as women?
The rites of passage create a safe and loving environment where we can explore our journey in relationship to these inevitable changes in us, which are full of life potential and possibilities, but also involve big losses that also want to be acknowledged.

In this way we offer the opportunity to have a rite of passage which would address a major, inevitable/biological shift. If you feel a calling to do this, please write me a message. You can also simply come to the retreat and be spontaneous about if it feels like it is the time for you to do a rite of passage.

We live in a time of great paradigm changes in humanity. For us women, it is a time to stand as we are, vulnerable and powerful at once, allowing the deep knowing in us to be the guiding force in our lives.
